State of the NHUSD Budget

The ongoing state budget crisis continues to affect public education throughout California, forcing school districts such as New Haven Unified to reduce programs and services. The following video, prepared by Chief Business Officer Akur Varadarajan, explains the financial difficulties that the District is facing.

County Honor Bands Perform Sunday at Logan
Two dozen Alvarado Middle School students, along with two students from Cesar Chavez Middle School, will be part of the Alameda County Honor Band that will perform Sunday (Jan. 22) at James Logan High School, band directors Nelson Agregado of AMS and Doris Gallagher of CCMS report.
 
The concert, which also will feature a high school honor band that includes several Logan musicians, will be in the Center for the Performing Arts, starting at 1 p.m. Admission is free.
